The exercise test is a noninvasive test that allows the cardiologist to check the behaviour of the heart during exercise. In our centre this test is performed on a stationary bike controlled automatically by our computer but with the possibility of manual control. Every heartbeat is analyzed by our specialists in real time with the electrocardiogram that is connected to the patient. The patient undergoes to different levels of effort and the heart behaviour is analysed during each phase and during the recovery period.
The test takes between 20 and 40 minutes and is important for the study of different disease such as angina (ischemic heart disease), palpitations during exercise and it is also very useful to determine the response of the heart during sport in athletes.
The test is analysed instantaneously and the patient will receive with a detailed report with samples at each stage of the exercise.
