Vascular Doppler ultrasound

Vascular Doppler ultrasound is a noninvasive test based on ultrasound, so without radiation to the patient, which allows to study the blood vessels (veins and arteries). This test is useful to rule out blockages of the carotid arteries, brain arteries, limb arteries … etc.. that may occur due to age and other cardiovascular risk factors (smoking, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia … etc..).

Early diagnosis of these problems reduces the long-term consequences (eg stroke) and permits to start treatments to improve these disorders. The test is painless, lasts approximately 20-30 minutes and the patient will receive a detailed report of the results and a sample of the most important findings.
